How to setup call forward

Introduction

Call Forward is a telephony feature that is used to redirect an incoming call to the specific third call party. Users can redirect the incoming call based on different scenarios.
Typically, the phone supports three call forward modes: Always Forward /No Answer Forward /Busy Forward.


Always Forward redirects all incoming calls to the specific third call party in all situations.
No Answer Forward allows called party to redirect the incoming calls to the specific phone number only when the incoming call is not answered within a specific period.
Busy Forward allows called party to redirect the incoming calls to the desired destination only when the called party is busy or unable to answer it.
On code & off code: Once users configure the correct off code& on code, the phone will send the corresponding codes to the server, and then the server will react according to the received codes

Configuration on BroadSoft Server

1.Log in the BroadSoft server with provided user name and password, and go to Group → User (select one user) → Incoming Calls. Click Call Forwarding Always /Call Forwarding Busy /Call Forwarding No Answer.

2.Enable the Call Forwarding Always, specify the destination on the web page, and select the tick box for playing ring reminder when a call is forwarded. Click the OK button to apply the changes and return to the main menu. Other forward features are with similar steps for configuring.

3.Look up call forward on-code and off-code on the server. Go to Group → User →Utilities→ Feature Access Codes and check Call Forward’s Off code and On code. Record the related codes for late usage.

Configuration on Akuvox Video Phones

There are two ways to configure Call Forward on the phone. One is using web interface, and the other is configuring via the phone device itself.

Configure Call Forward via web interface

1.Fill in the BroadSoft account information on the phone. The approach is well familiar, however, note that the transport type should be TCP in this case (Alternatively, configure the account via phone device).

2.Once users finish the account setup, go to Phone → Call Feature → Forward Transfer. Fill in the corresponding code on the web page.

Configure Call Forward via Phone device

Go to the main menu on Akuvox Video phone, and select Phone Setting → Call Settings → Always Forward / Busy Forward / No answer Forward to configure related value.
