How to setup call recording

Introduction

Call recording is used to record a call. It is supported by Sip server. Users can use Akuvox Phones,including R50P、R52P、R53P、R59P to set line key or Dss key as Record button which can be pressed during a call for recording. The recording will be stored in the server. Akuvox uses Elastix server as an example.

Configuration on IP Phone

1.Login to the website and go to the path Phone - Key/Display or DSS Key or Line Key to configure the Typs as Record, then click Submit.

2.Register an Elastix account.

Configuration on Sip server

1.Go to the path: PBX - Basic - General Settings. Set dial command options and outbound dial command options as Ww. As shown below. Click Submit Changes, then click Apply Configuration Changes Here.

2.Go to the path: PBX - Basic - Feature Codes. Ensure the code(*1) of In-Call Asterisk Toggle Call Recording and enable it. Click Submit Changes, then click Apply Configuration Changes Here.

3.Go to the path: PBX - Basic - Extensions. Choose the corresponding registered number. Set Record Incoming and Record Outgoing as On Demand. Click Submit, then click Apply Configuration Changes Here.

4.Go to the path: PBX - Monitoring to check the recording. Users can listen or download the recording from the server.
