How to register sip account

SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) is an IP telephony signaling protocol for Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) calls. SIP is responsible for connecting, monitoring and disconnecting VoIP sessions.

The Akuvox indoor monitors allow two independent SIP accounts (Account 1 and Account 1) to be registered. Therefore, the monitor can be registered two different SIP accounts in different SIP servers.

The Akuvox indoor monitors support four transport types of SIP signalling:
* via the User Datagram Protocol (UDP), which is an unreliable but very efficient transport layer protocol.
* via the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP), which is an reliable but less-efficient transport layer protocol.
* via the Transaction Layer Security (TLS) protocol, which is a secured and reliable transport layer protocol.
* via the DNS-SRV: DNS record for specifying the location of services.
The path to configure the transport type is go to the web interface - Account - Basic - Transport Type.
